Marie Rivier concludes her meditation which we began yesterday:
The Heart of Jesus is love in all things.
He loves us wherever he is,
And since he is everywhere, his love is boundless.
He is love in the sun which gives us light;
He is love in the fire which warms us;
In the wind which cools us;
In the soil which nourishes us and sustains us:
He is love in the whole of our being.
(Spiritual Writings, p. 38)
What should we do? Marie Rivier’s conclusion is an invitation to a commitment: To correspond to his love, we must love wherever we are.
Am I determined to give myself to love?
