The first thing we always want to know about a person when we meet them for the first time is their name. In Saint Paul’s letter to Philippians we read about “the name which is above every name”, a name at which “every knee should bend and every tongue confess”… (Phil. 2, 9 - 11) That name is Jesus. The Angel Gabriel said to Mary his mother: “You will conceive and give birth to a Son and you will name him Jesus. He will be holy and will be called son of the Most High.” I invite you every day of this month to pray with one Holy name of Jesus. May he strengthen us during this year dedicated to Consecrated Life and thus allow us to stand firm in our faith in him each day.
